Steffie Allen's expertise spans 35 years in leadership, leadership development, and program development as a workshop facilitator and speaker. Her work has taken her into corporations, professional firms and associations throughout the US, including Andersen Consulting, John Hancock, Hewlett Packard, AICPA, and Telstra, Australia's second largest corporation.

She served as CEO of Management Support Technology, a software development company that she took public, and as senior vice president of Performance Training Corporation, where she trained corporate executives in communication skills. Additionally, she is the founder and chair emeritus (having served for nine years as the chair) of the Women'sVision Foundation, a 3,800 member organization which is dedicated to the advancement of women corporate leaders and provides leadership development programs, events and networking resources. Steffie is founder and a principal of The AthenA Group.

Steffie has held board positions in more than 20 organizations. She recently retired from the board of HealthONE, a major hospital system, where she served as chair and founder of the Ethics Committee. She has raised over $50 million for educational organizations and founded Explo: The Career Education Fair, which served over 150,000 school children in Metropolitan Denver, and Spree: The Colorado Celebration of the Arts.

She received the US Small Business Administration's Regional Women in Business Advocate of the Year award in 1996, the University of Denver's Dan Ritchie Colorado Ethics in Business award in 1999 and the Colorado Women's Leadership Coalition's Colorado Women's Leadership Award in 2004. She is a 2006 inductee into the Colorado Women's Hall of Fame. With her sister, Carolyn, she is co-author of Doing It All Isn't Everything: A Woman's Guide to Harmony and Empowerment.

A well-known professional consultant and trainer on leadership development, Linda is a principal of The AthenA Group.

Current topics she most frequently addresses for clients include Emotional Intelligence, Leadership, Sales, Sales Management, Financial Analysis, Creativity, Ethics, Internal Politics, Accelerated Learning, Management Practices, Customer Service, Power and Inclusion.

She also is a citywide and statewide financial industry and community leader. Over her career spanning more than 35 years, she has had local, regional and national responsibility in a variety of corporations, businesses, management teams, and not-for-profit organizations.

Chair of the renowned Women'sVision Leadership Institute, Linda also is a board member of Women'sVision Foundation and its WiseWoman Council.

Her extensive banking career included serving as president of several banks in the area, including those in the Wells Fargo, Norwest and United Banks companies. She has opened new charters and has been a CEO. Additionally, she has been involved in several acquisitions and mergers and played key roles in helping those acquired to assimilate and adapt to the culture of the newly formed organization.

As an active contributor to the community, Linda has served on the board of The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, The Aurora Education Foundation and the Mile High United Way. She was a Commisioner for the Colorado Appraiser Board and the Denver Urban Renewal Authority.

Linda was both a mayoral appointee and a gubernatorial appointee. She is the recipient of several recognition awards for her work with women and minorities.

A principal of The AthenA Group, Anne's expertise is in the area of large organizational culture change--helping senior management define the elements of culture that will drive desired change and business results and integrating those elements with organizational systems and processes.

Before joining The AthenA Group, Anne was a partner at Accenture, a worldwide consulting, outsourcing and technology firm.

During her 23 years with Accenture, Anne had extensive experience in strategic planning, business process analysis, systems design, implementation and integration and human performance.

She worked in a variety of industries, performing business analysis in order to assist companies with improving business performance, customer effectiveness and employee effectiveness and satisfaction.

As a partner, she led Accenture's practice in Human Performance for the West Region, specializing in Workforce Transformation.

Anne has worked with the Colorado Department of Human Services, YMCA, Home Petroleum, Petro Lewis, Time Warner Cable, Jones Intercable, U S West, Qwest, Bell South, Bell Atlantic (now Verizon) and Southwestern Bell (now AT&T), among others, in analyzing and implementing business change to better serve their customers and improve business performance.

While at Accenture, Anne spearheaded the Women's Initiative in Denver and was instrumental in Accenture's relationship with the Women'sVision Foundation. Currently, Anne is the board chair of the Women'sVision Foundation and formerly chair of its WiseWomen Council, a network of senior-level corporate women.

 
Bruce's forte is providing dynamic trainings for business, human service organizations and educational groups interested in cultural diversity, international business and harassment prevention.

He has worked with a broad range of organizations, including the Disney Corporation, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, Hughes Saudi Arabia, Up With People, Storage Technology, Hewlett Packard, J.D. Edwards, Rocky Mountain News, St. Gobain, Johns Manville, City/County of Denver, the U.S. Forest Service and the National Western Stock Show.

Bruce formerly served as Director of Planning and Development at the Center for Teaching International Relations, University of Denver, for 13 years. He trained teachers in international studies, cross-cultural issues and the impact of international trends on U.S. society. He also was the editor of Consumer in the Global Marketplace.

In 1993, Bruce returned from spending seven months in Saudi Arabia working as a project consultant with the SAMAREC English Language Development program. This unique professional experience adds further depth to Bruce's range of educational and business trainings. Professional expertise, sensitivity to the diverse needs of clients and dynamic presentations are some of his areas of expertise.

Bruce custom designs each program to meet the specific needs of each client. His interactive sessions make extensive use of dyads, triads, skill demonstrations, instructor role plays, simulations and small group discussions.

Bruce holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Minnesota and an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction/International Studies, University of Denver.

An associate of the AthenA Group LLC, Sean is young, energetic, and dynamic. He brings his enthusiasm and expertise in authentic dialog, group communications, conflict engagement, and a variety of assessment tools to AthenA’s services.  As a facilitator and coach, he inspires honest engagement, and energizes work groups through practical calls to action. 

A licensed financial advisor Sean has trained both individuals and businesses in achieving financial independence with AIM Investments, A.G Edwards & Sons, and Penn Mutual. As a video specialist and senior editor for the international non-profit organization, the S.Y.D.A. Foundation, he’s traveled along the Pacific Rim, effectively working in a variety of multicultural environments.  As the past owner and senior editor of the post-production company, JEM Inc., Sean has partnered with companies like: Jones Cable, Comcast, Throughline Productions, and the Royal Shakespeare Company. Sean was the executive video producer for the Colorado Expedition bid in Pakistan to climb 26,598 ft. peak, Masherbrum.

A fifth generation Coloradan, Sean is dedicated to community service and currently serves as a board member of the Level One Society Board at the Denver Health Foundation.  He is also on the fund raising committee for the Women’sVision Foundation, and is a past board member of Stand Up for Kids, the ethics committee at Swedish Hospital, and past treasurer for the Mansion Park at Stapleton home owner’s association. 

A dynamic, engagaing and moving speaker, Larry has over 20 years of experiencce as an educator, facilitator, and keynote presentor.

Larry has facilitated programs with Fortune 100 companies (Discovery, Microsoft, US West, HP), government (FBI, EPA, NOAA), military (Dept. of Navy, US Air Force), educational, non-profit and family-owned organizations. He has been an adjunct faculty member with Johns Hopkins University.

He has facilitated life-changing wilderness leadership development programs and professional development training for school districts across the US. His first corporate client was IBM Austin where his programs always had a waiting list.

Larry's ability to create a safe place to explore issues, discover solutions, and identify ways to grow personally and professionally ensures that his audiences always walk away with new insights. An internationally known consultant and coach with more than 30 years of experience, Tony assists leaders and their organizations in making their highest aspirations real.

Chairman of The Putman Group in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and a principal of The AthenA Group, he personally has coached more than 900 leaders ranging from the CEO-Managing Director-Board Chairman through EVP-CFO-CIO Head to the Account Executive-Practice Leader-Marketing Director-Lead Partner. He works with individuals as an executive coach and with entire leadership teams as an organization coach.

His client organizations number in the hundreds, ranging from giants among the Fortune 100 to one-person firms across a variety of industries. Some specific clients include IBM, Deloitte & Touche, Ford Motor Company, Nike, Bell Labs, Health Partners of Minneapolis, The University of Michigan, Detroit Edison, AT&T, and the United States Department of Defense.

Tony is the widely acknowledged world authority on creating Ally Relationships between service providers and clients. Dr. Putman is an internationally known author, speaker and workshop leader. His classic book, Marketing Your Services: A Step-by-Step Guide for Small Businesses and Professionals, was published in 1990 and his book, "Ally Relationships: The Key to Sustaining Success for Your Service Business" was published in 2006.

Dr. Putman received his Ph.D. degree in psychology from the University of Colorado in 1973. He was a founding member of the Society for Descriptive Psychology, which he has served as president, as editor of its bulletin, and as editor of "Advances in Descriptive Psychology, Volume 5". He is the author of more than 20 articles and chapters in professional journals and books, including core conceptual articles on "Communities", "Organizations" and "Being, Becoming and Belonging" in Advances in Descriptive Psychology. He has been listed in Who's Who in Finance and Industry.

Caroline Turner, a principal in the AthenA Group, LLC, is a dynamic and engaging workshop facilitator, speaker and executive coach.

Caroline is the former senior vice president, general counsel of Coors Brewing Company. In addition to leading the internal legal function, she headed the company’s Public Affairs Department, which included groups responsible for federal and state government affairs, alcohol issues and environmental policy, as well as the office of the corporate secretary. Caroline was a partner in the law firm of Holme Roberts & Owen, Denver, Colorado, where she specialized in securities law and corporate transactions. She served as clerk to Judge McWilliams of the 10th Judicial Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals.

Caroline is a member of the boards of directors of the Women’sVision Foundation and Warren Village, the honorary board of the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame and the advisory board of The Mentoring Company. She was formerly a member of the board of the Women’s Forum of Colorado and participated actively in the Women’s Initiative at Mile High United Way and in several capacities at the University of Denver College of Law. She represented Coors as a member of the Board of Greater Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and the advisory boards of the National Hispana Leadership Institute and the National Council of La Raza.

Caroline was recognized in 2000 by the Women’sVision Foundation as Corporate Woman of the Year, received the Outstanding Alumni award from the University of Denver College of Law in 1999, was named a Woman of Distinction by the Girl Scouts in 2000, was honored by Coors in 2002 with the John Meadows Spirit of Diversity Award and in 2005 received the Eleanor P. Williams award from the Arthritis Foundation of the Rocky Mountains.

Charlotte is a hands-on trainer, coach and team motivator whose strengths include excellent facilitation skills; creating modules to teach quality initiatives; and developing coaching, mentoring and train-the-trainer initiatives.

A principal of The AthenA Group, she is certified in a number of diagnostic tools including the Myers Briggs Type Inventory, 3-Filters, Strengths Finder and Behavioral Interviewing. Her clients have included corporations, small businesses, government, non-profits and universities.

Charlotte was the director of human resources at Ischemia Technologies, an invitro diagnostic company, and was in charge of employee career development at Keane, Inc., a large software services company.

At Telectronics, a manufacturer of pacemakers and defibrillators, she was the director of corporate development, where she was responsible for the creation of a world class education and training program including succession planning and career development.

Charlotte was instrumental in the development of the renowned Women'sVision Leadership Institute, an intensive leadership program of the Women's Vision Foundation, designed to accelerate the career paths of mid and upper level corporate women. One of Charlotte's most recent books, The Leadership Training Activity Book, Amacom Press, 2005, is a reflection of the work of the Institute.

Dr. Waisman has a B.S., M.A., and Ph.D. from the School of Communication at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She was a tenured professor for 14 years at Northeastern Illinois University and the University of Utah. Her new book: "Her Story: A Timeline of the Women Who Changed America" was released in April, 2008 by HarperCollins.
